A Straighter Smile Without Braces

Invisalign

Are you looking for a straighter, more beautiful smile without the discomfort and appearance of traditional metal braces? Invisalign offers a modern and nearly invisible way to align your teeth without the wires often associated with orthodontic treatment.

At the Smile Centre, we are a Top 1% (Diamond) Invisalign Provider in Canada. This means that we have completed hundreds of Invisalign cases. Our experience and dedication to creating healthy and beautiful smiles is what sets us apart from other Invisalign providers.

All of our Smile Centre clinics utilize the latest digital 3D scanning technology to ensure precision and patient comfort. This digital dentistry technique makes the treatment process easier to tolerate and less time consuming than traditional methods. Our practice also offers new and exciting options like Invisalign First for our younger patients and the Invisalign Palatal Expander. These tools can help us to provide early intervention in order to avoid more complicated orthodontic procedures in the future.

For our more complex invisalign cases, we are using a 3D planning software that helps to ensure ideal results (Invisalign Smile Architect). We know that everyone has a busy schedule these days! We also offer Invisalign Virtual Care, which allows us to remotely monitor your progress so you need to come into the office less frequently. Our goal is to make orthodontic treatment more convenient than ever before. Traditionally, monthly or biweekly appointments have been required for Invisalign patients. With Virtual Care, you can check in with our doctors from the comfort of your living room, and at a time that works for you.

How Does Invisalign Work?

The Invisalign process is simple and customized to fit your unique smile:

  • Step 1: FREE Consultation Meet with one of our experienced and knowledgeable treatment coordinators (either in-person or virtual, online or by phone) to discuss which invisalign options may work for you.
  • Step 2: Individualized Treatment Plan Your dentist will take photos and X-rays and use a digital intraoral scanner to map out a personalized treatment plan. Using the 3D scans, xrays, and photos, we can predict how your teeth will move throughout the treatment process. We can even show you a digital preview of your new smile!
  • Step 3: Aligners Are Customized Using advanced 3D printing technology, your Invisalign aligners are custom created to fit your teeth perfectly. These aligners are made of a smooth, clear plastic. They are comfortable, safe, and nearly invisible.
  • Step 4: Wearing Aligners In order for invisalign treatment to be effective, you can plan to wear each custom set of aligners for one to two weeks, depending on your treatment plan created by your dentist. The aligners are labeled and numbered to make this process simple. Over time, your teeth will begin to move slowly into their ideal position. You may notice a difference in as little as a few weeks. It is recommended to wear Invisalign aligners at least 22 hours each day. The longer you wear your trays, the more effective they will be. They should only be removed for eating, drinking, and brushing and flossing your teeth.

How Long Does Invisalign Take?

The average patients’ Invisalign treatment lasts around 12 months. The aligners need to be changed every one to two weeks, depending on your doctor’s individual instructions. Treatment time can vary based on a few factors; severity of the correction needed, and the amount of time spent wearing the aligners each day are both considerations when estimating the time frame required. Some small adjustments and corrections may be accomplished in as little as 6 months, while more complex treatments could take up to 24 months to complete.

Is Invisalign Right for You?

Are you considering orthodontic treatment but worried about the look and feel of traditional braces? At the Smile Centre, we completely understand the need for an easier and more aesthetic method to align your teeth. Whether you require only mild adjustments or you are in need of a more complex treatment plan, Invisalign can be used to correct a wide range of dental issues. Did you know that aside from improving crowding, closing gaps, and correcting bite issues, that having your teeth perfectly aligned will keep your teeth from prematurely wearing, and can also help you to improve your oral hygiene? Here are the top reasons why Invisalign may be a good option for you:

  • 1. Discreet and Virtually Invisible Many people think that straightening their teeth is not a practical idea for them due to their jobs and social stigma. Unlike traditional metal braces, Invisalign aligners are nearly undetectable. Because invisalign does not require unsightly wires and brackets, it allows you to straighten your teeth discreetly without compromising your appearance. No one will know you are wearing aligners!
  • 2. Comfortable Invisalign aligners are custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly. They are made from a smooth, comfortable plastic material. Unlike with traditional braces, there are no rough spots or wires that can cause irritation. The trays fit snugly, ensuring that they will not cause problems with speaking or laughing.
  • 3. Removable One of the best benefits of Invisalign over traditional orthodontics is that the trays can easily be removed when necessary. Aligners can be removed for eating, brushing and flossing, and even special occasions. Because they are easily removed, it is easy to maintain your regular oral hygiene routine, making it simple to keep your mouth healthy and clean.
  • 4. Eat the Foods You Love With traditional braces, certain foods are completely off-limits. Hard or sticky foods can damage wires and collect around the brackets. Invisalign has absolutely no dietary restrictions. You can simply remove the aligners before you eat, and enjoy the foods you want.
  • 5. Predictable Results By utilizing advanced 3D scanning technology, we can ensure predictable and precise tooth movement. This can mean much shorter treatment times and fewer adjustments than traditional braces.
  • 6. Virtual Care - Fewer In-Office Appointments We know that everyone has a busy schedule these days. Invisalign generally requires fewer in-office appointments compared to traditional braces. We have virtual check-in technology, which allows you to communicate with the dentist and be monitored from the comfort of you living room.
  • 7. Oral Hygiene Traditional braces can make brushing and flossing difficult. Flossing requires special tools, and toothbrush bristles can get stuck in brackets. Due to the difficulty in maintaining proper dental hygiene, many problems can arise with the teeth and gums. Invisalign aligners can be easily removed for cleaning. You can brush and floss like you usually do, with no additional tools or products required.

What Happens After Invisalign?

After completing Invisalign treatment, a retainer may be required to maintain your results. These retainers are similar in appearance to the aligners, and are also very comfortable and virtually invisible. We recommend keeping a regular schedule with your dentist and hygienist to keep your teeth healthy for life.
